Movie Review: Super 8

I went to this movie thinking it has to be good. J. J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg together!! But I was wrong. Wasn’t good, it was AWESOME!!

The special effects were amazing! The scene where the train blow up, blow ME away!!! The whole thing was done to make us believe it happened! I love how Spielberg always reinvent and reintroduce aliens in exciting ways!! This was even better than Taken!! (maybe ;p)
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! No boring moment!! One of the best movies of this summer!!

The kids in the movie were really professional! I mean, they were fun to watch! Elle Fanning will have a bright future! Loved the way the plot put them in the center of the action, but in the same time didn’t turn it into a kids movie.

The movie was emotional, exciting and full with tension!!

You have to see it in theater!! It’s better with the big screen ;)

Movie Review: The Green Lantern

I so want to be a green lantern, not only to ride with the handsome Hal Jordan, but to actually see the rest of the
Lanterns. From the movie posters I thought they'll be more intergalactic battles.
Still the movie is fun and enjoyable. It has some exciting fighting scenes and it's so awesome to see the ring on action!!
I will defiantly get the DVD, but that's cus I'm a sci-fi geek :p.

I really wanted to see more lanterns and get to know them. Hal was enough for this part, he was good! But if there are any new sequels I want more lanterns!!

I love how new technology allows movie makers create stories that we only thought we can write or dream about. The technique that the special features people work out the suits and the aliens are amazing! It's like the comic book was alive!!! Though I never read the comic book, so feel free to doubt me hehe.

Weirdly, I liked Blake Lively, she was really good playing Carol. She was believable in her role and very fashionable too.

So, in the end, you should go see the movie. It'll be for sure a classic superhero movie!!

Sleep tight tonight cus we are being protected by awesome Green Lanterns ;)

Movie Review Summery

This summer like I said is going to be a great blockbuster movies summer!!!  The season started before I create this blog, so here are some movies I've seen during the last month:
Thor
This is so AWESOME I can't sit still when I remember it!!! You must, you must, you MUST see this movie!!!! One of the best superheroes ever!! I'm in love with THOR!!!
Chris Hemsworth was the right choice for Thor's character. He's so funny, charming and has the look of a hero. I really enjoyed his performance. He did really well. You cannot help falling for him ;). He is brilliant and I hope to see him again in better roles!!
I enjoyed the small appearance of Sir Anthony Hopkins, he is perfect for a king and Natalie Portman is my new favorite actress!! Also how can we not salute SHIELD ;)!!
The setting of Asgard is just wow!! I want to go there!! This movie is soo magical! It took the old myths and turned it to an amazing movie!!!
I can't wait for the DVD to be released!! And btw, the trailer didn't give it justice! It's so much better :D!!!

Scream 4
Yes, I admit, this part wasn't as good as the previous ones. Watching it was like visiting an old memory; like a picture that reminds you of your teenage years. It was somehow predictable and funny more than scary. If you wanted to just go on a visit to that part of your life you should see it and if you never saw scream, watch all of them, not only the last so you'll know why we love SCREAM!
"What is your favorite scary movie?"

Red Riding Hood
I'm in love with this new movement; the way they take old childish fairy tales and make it edgy and romancy. The weather and the sitting of this movie give you this awesome chill that enchants you! I'm a huge fairytale geek, so you can't blame me when I say this movie will be one of my favorites!!!
I didn't want to see it at first since I thought it was either a children movie or a really bad horror, but I was blown out by the way they recreated the story!! It makes my heart tingle hehe.

Pirates of the Caribbean (On Strange Tides)
What can I say about this movie!! Jack Sparrow is an immortal character!!! When I left the movie theater, I only said one thing, "I wanna be a mermaid!!" These movies define magic!!!
I thought it was somehow slow paced, but I enjoyed it never the less. Johnny Depp is a genius. I really don't know what to say about this movie! I think everyone knows how good it is and how we really want more Pirates of the Caribbean. It became part of our lives!
The movie is Timeless!!
Kong Fu Panda 2
I was kinda disappointed by this part. I mean, I kept waiting to laugh, grin or anything, but it was just so predictive. This is my honest opinion. The kids will enjoy it, but there was no "return of awesomeness." Jack Black is a funny actor, but I dunno, I wasn't hocked.
The only thing I liked was the Kong Fu. The way the animators designed the movies is brilliant.
Take all your kids at ones to see the movie. I don't think it's good enough for a second round.

Movie Review: Black Swan

The movie is brilliant!! I couldn't even find a better title for it. It will seduce you from the beginning till the end. The art, the dances and the whole thing is just amazing.
At start you think about the topic of perfection and how you can be perfect by letting go and just lose it. The struggle in the story reflects the dark reality we sometime lives and it shows us how far someone can go for their dream and the reach of perfection.
But then in the last couple of scenes you are just drawn into the movie by an enchanting spell. You forget the world existence and be one with the Sawn; both black and white. It was more than brilliant!!
The way Natalie Portman played the role deserves more than an Oscar. She did achieve perfection. I write this post as I watch her play the last act of Swan Lake. I mean just wow!
"It was perfect."

Movie Review: 127 Hours

In this post I'm not talking about super heroes of magical creatures with mystical powers, I'm talking about the strength that lies inside everyone of us. The way we can bear hardship and overcome difficult situations is remarkable.
In the movie, 127 hours (based on a true story) we meet Aron Ralston who got trapped as a falling boulder trapped him inside a canyon. I cannot express the feeling that filled me as I watched the movie! It was such a hard journey and if I was in his place, I won't stop crying.

These kind of true stories inspire us to be better and teach us valuable tips in case (God forbid) we ended up in the same situation. Always, always, always tell people where you're going! Post it in facebook or tweet it if you want!
James Franco was brilliant! He was so believable and I could see the pain, frustration and determination in his eyes. He deserved the Oscar nomination.  I loved the way the movie was filmed, looked real and somehow as a documentary.
I cried at the end and that tells you something!!!
And remember, we all have that strength within; we only have to find it.

Cheers,

Movie Review: The Notebook

During the sleepover with the girls tonight (5 minutes ago actually) we saw The Notebook. The tale of a true love that faced the world and won. It is so inspiring and as you watch the story of Noah and Allie, you wish that one day you might be lucky to have this kind of love.
It's the love that takes away fear and makes you feel that no matter what happens in this world you will be ok. It's a really beautiful story, so magical and so emotional. Even though it's hard to believe that this kind of love exist in real life, but watching these kind of movies gives you hope.
This is why I fell in love with movies, it fill you up with all kinds of emotions and make you forget how bad life can be. It is the magic that we need to survive in this world.
I recommend this movie to not only girls, but guys as well ;) You should learn some stuff from Noah, hehehe.
May all your lives be full with love ;)

Movie Review: The Hangover 2

Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed HelmsThis is the second time I went to see the wolf pack in their new adventure. I laughed the second time as much as I did the first. Hangover 2 is as good and some said better than the first movie. The movie takes comedy to a new level. The way it was filmed looked very well made. I mean most of the comedies these days are so cheap and idiotic!

Even though the movie contained a lot of not so polite scenes, it still makes you laugh and enjoy your time. I mean you will cry from laughter I guarantee it!!

The wolf pack is what holds the movie together, but Alan, (Zach Galifianakis) is the perfect element in the plot. Every move he makes, every word he utters even the clothes he wears gives you a reason to laugh. He is so sweet and weird that you'll have to love him. He will be a classic comedy character!!

I'm trying to express how awesome the movie is without spoiling it for the viewers. All I'm gonna say, you MUST see Hangover 2 and if you didn't even see the first one, you'll know what to do after reading this post, GO SEE IT!!!

Hello ^-^

I didn't know what to call my first post here, but then I thought of keeping hello since it has a great value in movie history. So, hi!! My name is Kemz (it's my nickname) and I am told like I said in my profile that I have a good taste in movies, so in this blog I will share my own opinion as a viewer. I never made a movie, acted in one or wrote a script for a movie, so I'll be more emotional rather than technical in my posts.

I love movies and my passion about them gave me the drive to write novels that I hope one day will become great movie. For me, it's all about story making and the magic it holds. When I am in the movie theater, I enter into a new world where anything is possible! I know it sounds clichéd, but I know you all feel the same.

This summer is full with awesome movies. It is the summer of magic, heroism and pure fantasy!!! I'm so thrilled and can't wait to share my thoughts with you. Also I hope to help you know which movie to see and which to avoid.

Will post something soon ;)
